Jessi and George – A Very Austin Wedding at Gallery Black Lagoon

George and Jessi are my kind of couple. They are informed, have great taste, fun-as-all-get-up, and pretty gosh darn adorable. They scripted their day to make sense for them, which, as a photographer, I adore. Their sweet ceremony clocked in at under 5 minutes, and having a first-look meant they got lots of mingle-time with their guests. This wedding was a blast of fresh Austin air, and Jessi and George’s love is as light and breezy as a cloudless sky.

[Oh yes.. my favorite wedding moment EVER happened at this wedding. Keep in mind, Gallery Black Lagoon is in a residential street, surrounded by cute Hyde Park houses. So.. random wedding guest heads in from the streetside patio, and a CAT darts into the venue after him. This kitty guns it: fast as lightening, like some crazy pent-up wind-up toy. She's quickly scooped up by a heroic partier who takes the little darling outside where she belongs. Suddenly, a distressed young woman runs across the street yelling "ROXANNE!!". Her cat, Roxanne, is in heavily in heat, and made a break for it to find, well, "company." (You know what they say about wedding dance floors!) Someone of course yells to kitty "Roxanne! You don't have to put on the red light"... everyone's in stitches, and Roxanne looks very pleased with herself.]
